Engagement

The FSP works closely with the Skills Funding Agency in the East of England and with the regional development agency EEDA, based in Histon, Cambridgeshire, to ensure that public funds for skills development are directed to the needs of financial services employers. We work with the National Skills Academy for the financial services to ensure learning provision matches employers' needs.

 

Sector statistics

The East of England region covers Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Nearly 154,000 people work in financial services in the East of England.
Over 4,000 financial services workplaces provide 5.7% of total regional employment.
There are a smaller proportion of larger (200+ employees) firms in the region than nationally.
