QEII Conference Centre,
Broad Sanctuary,
London, SW1P 3EE

Wednesday 19 November 2008

We are pleased to announce that our 2008 Annual Conference will take place on 19 November. It will be a lively, interactive day with top quality presentations on this year’s hot topics, inspired debate, a wide range of networking opportunities and a first class exhibition. Rounding off the day will be a champagne reception and further networking opportunities.

The day will include:

  • A lively look at ‘Apprenticeships today’ and how they can benefit your business
  • Solutions to some of the skills issues that keep you awake at night including ways to encourage women and older workers to return to / remain in employment
  • A look at the key themes you have identified within our Sector Skills Agreement including management and leadership skills gaps – one of the most important issues facing our industry today; work readiness – an issue often responsible for tying up your valuable time and resources; financial capability and education – an opportunity to influence the curriculum; lack of new entrants – attracting new entrants to the industry is now a major priority for us all!
  • Insight from our Devil’s Advocates on how to land a top job in financial services. Hear their (very different!) perspectives on what makes people stand out, what the key skills gaps are and how to develop competitive skills
  • Plenty of round table discussion and debate with panels that want to hear your views on the issues that matter to you
