Later Life Adviser Accreditation Scheme

We've been developing a new Accreditation scheme aimed at financial advisers who work with older clients. The Later Life Adviser Accreditation scheme has been developed in collaboration with SVARfair and is being backed by primary sponsor, Just Retirement.

Partnership Assurance is also a supporter of the scheme.

Following a successful pilot in 2007 with Care Asset Management and NHFA, the scheme was officially launched in April 2008.

It'll be promoted to consumers and will offer accountants, solicitors and front line care advisers a solution that allows them to direct their clients to appropriately qualified market practitioners.

The Later Life Adviser Accreditation Scheme has been specifically developed to help identify those who:

• relate to their older clients
• understand the specific issues relating to older clients
• can give them appropriate advice to meet their needs.
