FSSC Accreditation, Recognition & Endorsement Schemes for Training Excellence

If your training delivers results and is relevant to the financial services sector's skills needs, you'll want to make as much noise about it as possible!

Our accreditation and recognition schemes contain non-prescriptive industry standards, developed through industry consultation and based on best practices.

Furthermore they're used as a benchmark for quality training provision.
The industry standards focus on employer responsiveness, as well as regulatory training and skills development consistent with Financial Services Authority commitments.

FSSC accreditation and recognition is used as a trusted 'quality mark' by firms and providers in the financial services sector.

Our suite of accreditation and recognition schemes give public recognition to you whether you're a firm, provider or individual who can demonstrate that your investment in training produces a solid business outcome.

You need to demonstrate that your training meets the industry standards.

There are currently four schemes:

Later Life Adviser Accreditation scheme

To provide recognition to financial advisers who have an enhanced understanding of the specific issues relating to older clients and can give appropriate advice to meet their needs.

Accreditation of Training Excellence for Firms

Accreditation for FirmsFor firms who wish to gain a competitive edge in the financial services industry.

If you can show how your investment in internal training and development produces a solid business outcome then our Accreditation of Training Excellence for Firms scheme is designed especially for you.

It'll give you independent acknowledgement for the benefits your investment in T&D has produced for your firm.

Accreditation of Training Excellence for Providers

Accreditation for ProvidersFor providers who'd like to stand out from the crowd in the financial services industry.

The Training Quality Standard (TQS) was launched this year by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), its aim is to recognise the delivery of high quality employer responsive training.

The assessment framework is divided into two parts A & B. Our existing Accreditation of Training Excellent for Providers scheme is recognised by the LSC as being equivalent but not the same as a part B of the Training Quality Standard.

Providers that achieve both TQS part A and part B accreditation will receive beneficial treatment with regard to LSC sectoral funding.

Providers that achieve accreditation against the TQS part A and also posess our provider accreditation will also receive any benefit associated with achieving part A and B of the TQS until April 2009 at minimum.

FSSC Recognised Trainer

Recognised TrainerFor trainers who wish to maximise their business potential within the financial services sector.

If you're self-employed, or work for a firm or training provider within the financial services sector and wish to gain public and internal recognition for the quality training you deliver - then this is the scheme for you.

Through our series of industry consultations in 2007, we've received demand for new training-specific endorsement schemes:

FSSC Endorsement of T&C Schemes

T&C schemesTo endorse financial services organisation functions that can demonstrate that their training and competence regimes produce a solid business outcome and meet FSA commitments.
