HE and FE Providers Accreditation Scheme
The FSSC piloted this scheme between June 2006 and March 2007 to see whether further education providers need new industry standards of training excellence and/or a different assessment approach.
The key finding was that the majority of colleges on the pilot, by submitting different but valid evidence to demonstrate their vocational expertise in the sector, showed that they met the same FSSC industry standard as private providers.
Vocational expertise in financial services was achieved principally through delivering FSSC Appropriate Exams qualifications or related business qualifications and training.
As a result, we've decided not to launch a separate accreditation scheme for further and higher education providers.
Instead, the FSSC Accreditation of Training Excellence for Provider scheme has been enhanced to include a wider remit of evidence that can be submitted by all providers to prove their training provision produces a solid business outcome for employers.
